and knitted it together then used the thicken command to give it the
proper balsa thickness. I have also done the same thing for my Roland DVI
except that instead of surface loft I did a regular loft and mirrored it then
theres a shell command that hollows it out. both methods give the same

that with AutoCAD or Inventor. How did you make the shells? Is that a
