Although it is 'in the range', 'concrete' seems to me to be too
gray, a little dark, and not brown enough, mix in a yellowish tan, like
'aged white', or one of the railroad color beige colors, just as a
suggestion.FWIW

think it would be cool to have the bottom rear fuse in open position and have
the gunner lying there. just a cool point of interest. the Gotha V had a large
section of the rear fuse that the rear gunner could lower to an open position
and move his gun down there to give the gotha a "Sting" for those
below and behind the aircraft. was a nifty invention for the time

It needs thinning, and I use future for that.

Paul,
I can think of a few ways:
1: Is everyone on the list seeing mails posted by Paul Thompson?
2: Paul. Do other people reply to your posts or questions? This may
not prove it, since people viewing the archives will have no problems.
3: Paul. Post a question and see if you get any answers.

That's some great old footage, including some good details of some of those
crates. Also notable is the gloss finish on the wings of the pusher in the scene
where they're starting the engine.
BUt in the opening scene, with all the cadets getting a lecture, watch the 6th
cadet from the left and tell me if he isn't copying off his neighbor's
paper. Shocking I tell ya, simply shocking.

I haven't seen it announced yet, but Roden is releasing a few 1/32nd WW1
engines, by themselves. They are:
*Gnome Monosoupape 100 h.p **1/32 scale *
***Hispano Suiza 8A 150 h.p **1/32 scale *
***Mercedes D.III 160 h.p.** 1/32 scale*

"I take it you mean the prancing horse insignia? I believe it was on both
sides of the fuselage. This later became the Ferrari symbol and is still in
use by them today."
Yes, and if memory serves, Mr. Ferrari's brother was one of Barraca's
groundcrew. Said brother died of pnuemonia I believe. Ferrari, devastated at
the loss of a brother that he loved and admired very much, approached
Barraca's mother to ask if he could use the "Prancing Horse"
(part of the
family coat of arms) as a symbol of a little automobile project he had been
working on. The rest, as they say, is history.
Dropping back into lurk mode and the worst semester of my life. Mama told me
not to come. :)

I've got a couple tall bottles of dullcoat. I thin it to about 2:1
with Lacquer Thinner and shoot it through my airbrush. Goes down nice
and dries fast. Don't know if the bottles are still available
though. Haven't seen 'em lately at the hobby shop.

Paul,
I can think of a few ways:
1: Is everyone on the list seeing mails
posted by Paul Thompson?<
If I ask that and they can, it will
really clutter up normal mailings for
people, unless they reply direct to my
email address.
>2: Paul. Do other people reply to your
>posts or questions? This may
not prove it, since people viewing the
archives will have no problems.<
Many posts go unanswered or apparantly
ignored, but I'm sure sometimes people
just don't have an answer to post. If
it's a comment or answer to a question
by me, then that could be easily
overlooked.
>3: Paul. Post a question and see if
>you get any answers.<
Same as above - sometimes I get no
answer or just one or two - but in wwi
aviation there often just are no
answers. The problem arrises when I try
to take things offlist, when sometimes
only the void echoes back. There's only
one recent case, but unless I've
unknowingly done something to irk the
chap in question I don't know what to
do. A direct question provokes no
answer.
Thanks for giving it some thought
anyway.
Paul.

I see Paul's e-mails, I'm just not smart enough to answer his
questions.
If Paul is going to your spam folder, you need to modify your filters to
'white list' his e-mail.
