By cö-incidence I just saw this photo this morning in the Aug ‘90 issue of WWI Aero. It may not be the one you’re talking about, but it’s *a* D.VII at McCook Field.

Also, I'm thinking about doing the Fokker D.VIII flown by the U.S. at McCook Field.  Besides removing the machine guns, any other mods needed to depict that aircraft?

I recall people saying that the aircraft did not have U.S. insignias painted on top of the wings.  How do we know?
