I'd say, go for it, Brian. It's a beautiful kit.

Also how big an IPMS host chapter in Bangor is to run a National Convention…

But the big question for this group is…

Do I start 2018 off by ordering a WNW Taube?

Right. So, there is a good reason why places like Phoenix are selected in August - nobody else wants to go there then and so it's a lot cheaper.

Even a small town like Bangor, Maine, which would be ideal weather-wise at that time of year, would be much more expensive.

“But it’s a dry heat” – well not like Atlanta or DC in any case.

Like was pointed out – just don’t bring any resin…

Sad thing is – IPMS is too big a convention for places we can afford, and too small for places we can’t afford.

We’d have to be twice as big to be in the DC/Baltimore area again, and likely the same for the NYC area.

And even then the rates may be huge.

I’ll go to Phoenix, maybe arrive empty, but see folks and go shopping.

But 2019 in Chattanooga, TN will be fun.

Speaking of shopping, news stories out that Hobbico has filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

Phoenix in August. Have fun when the temperature gets to 115F. Atlanta was bad enough at 97F and a tropical deluge at 2:47PM every day.

Why don't they hold them in New England or the North West?

Hi, Dave. The US Nats refers to the IPMS USA National Convention to be held this year in Phoenix, August 1-4.

Coming out of deep lurk to ask who plans on attending the Nats this year. I've never been, but since Phoenix is not that far, I'm giving it some serious consideration.

So, who's going?
