Very sad news, Brian. He hosted a wonderful afternoon outing for the League of World War One Aviation Hisorians at his facility in Paso Robles during the League convention in Monterey. A lovely man and a wonderful, generous host. The loss is tragic, but I feel this is the way he would have wanted to go.
Blue Skies, Javier.

Just heard of the loss today of Javier Fernando Arango while flying his Nieuport 28 replica in California. A Board Member Emeritus of NASM, and a wonderful advocate for aerospace museums and WW One history. A tragic loss.
