My guess is that you will have to mask the window area when you paint the top wing.  The problem is that the edges of the window will look hollow and not closed.

The picture shows an aircraft with a "Window" in the center of the upper wing. However, the kit has a solid upper wing, made from clear plastic. If you are going to have clear plastic upper wing, why not have the one with the window?
