I have a copy of 'Scale Aircraft Drawings' with detailed structural drawings of the Pfalz tailplane, and the tailplane according the book, is ply covered, so only the moving surfaces would require rib tapes, being fabric covering over a framework.

Subject: [WWI] Pfalz Tailplane Covering

Tom, A post on greatwaraviation.com said that the Datafile is incorrect, that the tailplane is FABRIC-covered, which is why I asked about the location of the ribs. If it's ply, then my problem is solved. Listees, anyone got an answer to this conundrum? Mike
