Many of the off-list attempts were very inventive with Steve Cox (being a Brit) getting it spot on.  Bud was very close.

Translation:

I'm going down the road (frog and toad) to the pub (rub-a-dub-dub) for a half (cows calf) of beer (pigs ear).
