I think at least one dr.1 had a pale blue base coat.; 588/17
(by coincidence the subject of one of my submissions). As I understand
it the base colour
was confirmed as being pale blue in the British technical
report on the aircraft after the aircraft came down behind British
lines. An article on this aircraft
was published in Cross and Cockade UK some years ago.
