Aged decals sometimes break apart when they hit the water.
You should test one that isn't critical, or not needed first.
If it breaks up, coat the decal with Micro Decal Film (available where you get Micro Sol and Micro Set)

Hello, Rob!
            What is the issue with the decals? I do think the carrier film looks rather thick. Do they not settle easily? The last Dragon kit I built was the stars and stripes Spad and that was about 300 years ago.  Thanks for any advice you could offer on this.
