Mike, I may be able to help you with the first question. Chaz Bowyer's "Handley Page Bombers of the First World War" answers this obliquely. I've scanned three pages, two of text and a photo of the captured aircraft into MS Word. I'll be glad to send them to you as attachments if you wish. Please LMK offlist.

I'm doing some research for a friend, Mike Carr, designer of the
WWI aviation board game Fight in the Skies (aka, Dawn Patrol). If
anyone can help with these two items I'd certainly appreciate it.

1) The crew of the first HP 0/100 to go to France got lost on
January 1, 1917, and landed in German lines, where they were
captured. Does anyone know their destination? Were they headed
for a Dunkirk assignment or were they eventually headed for No. 3
Wing at Ochey?
