I bought a hand vaccum for just this purpose. It is only used when small
stuff gets into the hands of the carpet gnomes. I vacuum the whole area and
then dump the detritus out into a box. I've found just about every small bit
of PE and plastic that has vanished this way.

Of course certain parts need the vacuum method several times.

Hi Jamie,

	Until we moved in 2006 I had a small battery powered gadget for catching
spiders, which was ideal for the task. But it got lost in the move. Now I
use a dustpan and brush, but it's less than foolproof, especially faced with
my brand of obstinate idiocy.
