Marmite is a vile substance which probably originated as an anti-fouling paste for iron clad ships. Only starving, completely mad sailors could have dreamed up the nefarious idea of spreading it on toast. I'm sure Vegemite is equally as vile. I stay well clear of anything purporting to be 'food' that ends with the suffix 'mite'....
