It could have been both at different times. There is plenty of evidence for
major and minor repaints and a few a/c have been photographed in CDL and
pigmented dope
So what is special about 4395? Where and when are you trying to model it and
who built it? If you can find a photo of one from the same order from the
same maker that might be as good as you can hope for. My guess is
that with this serial CDL would be a good bet when it was delivered, but how
long it might have stayed that way is another matter
It is also probably easier to apply PC10 over a CDL finish than CDL over
PC10 if you find you were wrong later
