This topic comes up once in awhile. It's true at this time, but it's not that dim news.

First of all, no one has mentioned AZ Model. These are beautiful 1/72 scale kits done with mostly injection molded parts enhanced with resin and sometimes etched metal details. So far they have done or announced four Breguet Br.14s, a M.S. L, Pfalz A.I and an A.II/E.III.

Part of the fun in scale modeling is finding kits that you want to build. I've got about 2,000 kits with a good number of OT subjects and I'm always looking to fill int he holes. I know that I'll never have every one that I want when there are almost 1600 WWI aircraft kits alone out there.

While 1/72 injection molded WWI aircraft are in a slump have you considered doing other WWI subjects in 1/72? There are hundreds of items out there, enough for me to list a total of almost 3,800 in a new book on the subject currently in preparation and probably out by the end of the year.

Hat Industries alone has a good many new OT figure sets, RPM some wonderful vehicles and I am constantly looking for after-market OT items not yet in hand. Then there's WWI items in other mediums. While it would be nice to see WWI vacuforms again, have you considered trying metal? Right now the glue is drying on a Reviresco Earhardt armored car  underside. Details were very limited, so I've scratchbuilt an entire underside and I'm very pleased with the results.

The search should keep you busy while the industry cranks out new stuff.

Happy modeling,
