Thanks guys for your gracious comments. It humbles me. I will see if I can take some closeups and submit them. I tried out some new techniques to see how they would work: the rudders, for example, are done in Photoshop - I scanned the photoetch brass of the kit part, color substituted the brass with a spruce color and then overlayed it with a linen color. I then put the markings on that as well as the Italian colors, printed it on a bond paper (which unwittingly produced a lovely linen weave effect - duplicating what I saw when I visited Herndon and saw the BE2C up close) and then glues it to a styrene core (same shape as the photoetch frame). I was quite satisfied with the results as they look quite translucent (same with the wings).
