I guess I'm lucky to have three grandsons living with me, ages 4,6 and 8.  The youngest two are crazy about airplanes.  I get more satisfaction building models than in looking at them later as I always remember what I did wrong.  So after a while in the display case, I cull them out and let the kids play with them.  They rarely last a week.  It's also a good way to get rid of the unfinished models that I've lost interest in.  As long as they have wings they are good to go.
