Dave,
I got the kit several weeks ago and thought it looked pretty darn good. I'm at work so can't check references but if I recall didn't the 'L' have wooden battens over the ribs as per usual Morane Saulnier practice? In which case the prominent rib 'tapes' would be quite acceptable.

It's certainly an improvement on the old 12 Squared kit I have...
