Hi Mike,
Hard to say with Italian markings, depends on which kit and decal color you
are using. I have an Americal Gryphon Italian insignia sheet and the green
and red are very dark, for the green I used the small bottoe of Testors
Beret green for an almost perfect match, for the red I mixed Testors red
with black until I got a good match. although most kits I have seen show the
green and red as much lighter and brighter, not sure which is correct or if
it was different depending on the manufacturer and aircraft. There is a
windsock mini datafile on Italian colors I believe but I don't have this
book. Hope this helps.

I am not sure for the red, but I like using Testors green from the little
bottle. It is a gloss, but the color d looks good to my eyes.

I just started my Fly Macchi M5 flying boat and was wondering if anyone had
any favorites for the red and green for the tri-color on the bottom surfaces
of the wings? My apologies if this has been hashed out before. I did a
search on the digest and didn't find anything specific.
Cheers
Mike
