[WWI] "Whiteless" French roundels

I had heard of this, and was planning to do grayish blue.  Thanks for  
adding further confirmation.

Ah, I hadn't noticed that, but looking at the in-flight photo again  
the fuselage could indeed be white.  The thing that's hard about this  
is that the fuselage sides are, of course, perpendicular to the wings  
and tail, and so the fall of light is different.  Also, the coloration  
of the forward plywood-based fuselage occasionally looks a bit  
different in photos from the rest of the fuselage, perhaps due to  
different reflectance or perhaps the greater opacity of the underlying  
wood (?), so it's hard for me to judge in the photo I have whether the  
forward fuselage is the same basic color as the white band farther  
back.  Hmm, maybe.... Where's my time machine when I need it?

I think you're correct on this. Go for it and don't forget to send
pictures to the gallery once it's finished!

Will do!  Thanks for the help, Diego!  I guess this will be a somewhat  
different interpretation of this plane than I've previously seen  
modeled.
