North sea would really be a long way, they'd have to fly the whole of the Baltic down to Denmark before they got there.
Or they could go around by the Barents sea and the North cape from Murmansk, but you wouldn't want to do that
in a 1917 floatplane.

Really? How long range could they have been? Over the North Sea, perhaps?
