[WWI] SE5a Flight Build is "Done"

Rick

Regarding letter wing position, I've read that both positions were used for top and bottom wing at different times. That said, I would have preferred an inboard wing position. However, the Americal decals (particularly the U) were too wide to allow for inboard positioning. They would have overrun the mainplane centerline under the Foster mount. Actually, as I note overall in the blog, I'm disappointed with the representation of the lettering...it really doesn't match the photo evidence of these aircraft. Oh well...I'm not too worried about it. There are no shots of the upper wings of any of these aircraft that I'm aware of.

Kevin.

Really nice flight! One question, and please do not take offense! Are you sure about the outboard position of the letter on the upper wing? Seems to me that 56 had inboard positions on the letters on the upper wing?
