  Well looking at the date it was shipped back and the date of the General's order, if you wish to show the plane as it appeared on July 16, 17. 18, 1916 it may have had black struts but probably repainted reon July 19 to follow the order.  So like they say, dicta Ira, just keep it as it looked on July 18 before the order was carried out.

      Right now it's in it's July 19 markings. About 1430 hours 19 July 1916 to be precise, (the struts are about 2/3 painted red )
