What date is the photo? The red was added after they were in service, from a certain date (IIRC it applied to all
metalwork)
However there were RFC Moranes with lighter noses and metal work - at least one on an aircraft whish was lsot
before the red was introduced. My theory has always been they were in the beige that some French Moranes are
recorded in.
