I told you so.

 

Well, not *you* exactly, but we had a discussion about PE RAF-wires on the list *years* ago. At that point I'd already tried using some that I'd etched myself and decided that it was a crap solution for exactly those reasons (plus that they're very easily kinked and very hard to restore).

 

Of course, an alternative explanation with some merit was that I was (and am) a useless modeller!
