[WWI] Jasta 18 Fokker questions.

Hi all - I am doing some research on one of my next-to-be-built models, a MAC 1/72nd Fokker D.VII that I plan on building up as one of Raben's red & white aircraft and I need some help . . .

I was wondering if the shade of red that was used on those aircraft is known?

Also, most profiles and artist renderings of those planes show the bottom of the aircrafts' wings to be left in lozenge print.  Are people making a general assumption about them being unpainted or is there some photographic evidence to support that condition?
