[WWI] [Fwd: Air Plane from family pictures]

I can make out a star under the lower wing of the nearest aircraft so these DH4's are probably "Liberty 'Planes" from the US Army

squadron of DH.4s to my untrained eye.

This picture, scanned from an old family pic, appears to be WW I vintage,,,but, not being educated on the planes of the era, I have the slighest idea what it's function was, who manufactured it, etc.
