Hi Mike;

     The "Victoria Cross" book by Alex Revell has a chapter on Mr. Hawker, plus a profile of the Bristol in which he won the VC.
      I've never read the biography you mention, but I should because I have always respected Hawker. I plan to build a model of his armed Bristol 'C' out of the Omega resin kit (a very expensive little kit which I could not normally afford- I used my Roll Models prize certificate to obtain it. I have a little head-scratching to do on it because a full-circle cowling is not provided for some reason).
      If I were to be tempted by a Wingnuts offering, it would be to build a nice large representation of Hawker's DH 2.

                                                J.R. Boye

Subject: [WWI] Lanoe G. Hawker VC

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone here can put me on to some more books about the late Major Hawker VC. I've already read his biography written by his brother, and I'd like to see if I can find anything else that discusses him in any depth. Anyone have any suggestions?

TIA,
Matt K.
