    Thanks for the comments, Doug!
The Nieuport 23 is in the first of four color schemes it carried as shown in the Windsock article. All of the markings have been offered by different manufacturers over the years. Blue Rider supplied markings for this plane on their Russian sheet, but they weren't totally accurate so I made substitutions. The plane has sometimes been depicted with Dux type roundels as well, which it didn't carry. I have never seen a photo of the starboard side of this plane.
I did see an article in Historic Aviation magazine on the Triplane that ended up in the Monino Museum. I think it still exists.
The so-called "invisible" thread I use is sold already lightly colored with a grey tone (Ditz makes it). I like the way it looks, and it is simple to use. Trying to add color would increase its thickness.
The Roland fuselage is done with enamels. The entire piece was painted a medium brown and allowed to dry thoroughly. Then I dry-brushed the lighter color. The joints were then highlighted with a thin wash. The MAC kit has nicely defined plank work, so very little scribing was needed.

                                          J.R. Boye

I love the Sopwith Triplane and it is wonderful to see a triplane that isn't a Fokker.
I love the markings on your Nieiport XXIII, the aircraft used by Russia and during the civil war are interesting. Speaking of which, I have an article showing a Sopwith Triplane that ended up fighting with the Bolsheviks.
I like your Fokker Dr.1. How do you colour your invisible thread?
I love the Roland. How did you do the fuselage? Scribed the lines and rubbed pencil in?
