[WWI] What I did on my holidays was: Last Man Standing?

http://pic.atpic.com/1338940/600 and the following two pictures are of
pre-WW1 models in 72nd scale, by Ed Banham, at the Plymouth Premier Model
Show last weekend. These are are scratchbuilt from soldered wire, and
covered in tissue paper. They really capture the frailty of the pre-war
designs.
I entered my 600th scale Staaken in the Œ1/72nd and smaller¹ and got ŒHighly
Commended¹

http://pic.atpic.com/1338943/600 is the GWICC display I put on at the same
show. I was a bit limited in what I could take, as we had to get three
adults, two separate displays, and all our stuff for a weeks holiday into
one car.
Unfortunately a bad cold, bad weather, and a back strain rather spoiled the
holiday, but it did mean I got some modelling time, and managed to
scratchbuild the wings and fuselage of a triplane, so every cloud has a
silver lining.
regards
Steve

I had a good day at the Plymouth Model Show last weekend with the GWICC. On
one of the other tables was a collection of pre-OT models, in wire and
tissue, and rigged. I¹ll post some pictures later when I¹ve sorted myself
out.
