Tamiya paints do not respond well to other thinners, they have a tendency to break down, the pigments separate, when other than their own thinner is used. Polly Scale and Mister kit can be thinned with the Testors acrylic thinner  (do not confuse it with their cleaner!) which is all I can get locally . I used to use the Polly Scale thinner (blue stuff) but it's hard to find lately. As a side note, use a compressor, those pressurized cans are useless, and attach an air  filter, or on humid days you'll get nasty spits of water in your finish. FWIW
