I can't believe you don't know that one:" Poor Bloody Infantry". This despite the fact that the Infantry was considered the  'elite' of Britian's ground forces for 200 years or so; I guess 1914 changed all that.

Contemplating lunch and looking at a jar of peanut butter.  And musing... 

If PBJ is peanut butter-and-jelly, what must PBI represent?  Peanut butter-eating infantry?  Would that then explain the detested plum-and-apple jam?? 

I should have stayed in bed, most likely...
