As a comment on a comment, Once they've done the 'research' for a kit, any scale, it's  relatively easy, with current technology,  to scale it up or down, so that is very possible. FWIW

Hei, 

It seems like Roden does various scales in batches, so I would not be 
surprised if they later were to scale down some of the larger aircraft to 
1:72. 

I would like to see further additions to the RE8/BE2 family like the BE2e 
and them reduced to 1:72 scale as well.
