Hi, Merrill!
I hope your technique works out for you.
However, in the event you are not pleased with the result, or if you wish to try a technique that provides a controlled result, you may be interested in knowing that an alternative method will be available in the next few weeks. I have developed a decal sheet of 1/48 Fokker Streaked Camouflage. It is currently at the printer and should be finished in the next few days.
The sheet contains a choice of different panels, each with the correct angle for the brush strokes. Each panel has a unique streaking pattern. The sheet also contains unbleached linen decals for the lower wing cross fields and fuselage interior.
I currently have someone using these on a 1/48 Eduard Fokker Dr.I. When work has progressed enough I will have some images to show.
And, as soon as they are available I will post an announcement at www.MicroSculpt.com
Cheers!
Tom

#yiv97653464 p {margin:0;}Just did the streaky green on my Eduard 1/48 Dr.I, used oils over acrylic, what a mess. Will have to look at it after it dries to see if it worked, it looks OK, so far, but not great, and moving the parts is not an option until the paint gets dry. Nerves jangled, when the results of a kit hang on one 'experimental' process, AMS just drives you nuts.
