Sad news for all you 1:72 builders

A fellow modeler who visited the Nürnberg fair reports that Roden will not produce new kits in this scale any more. They'll concentrate to 1:48 and 1:32

From the first Toko kits up to the present, these folks have contributed more to the 1/72 side of this hobby than almost anyone shy of St. Harry himself.

I don't think there has been a line of 1/72 WWI airplane models both as extensive and of such quality ever. They are also in large part responsible for lighting a fire under Eduard who made great improvements to remain competative. Not to mention people like Part who rose to the opportunities presented by the Toko/Roden line.

These kits have been an intregal part of the "Golden Age" we have been experiencing and new additions to the line will be sorely missed. We all owe them our gratitude for their contributions to the hobby.
