>How do I get in touch with Mr. Broadbent to order his decals?

Hi Gabriel

Rowan seems to have a buisness e-mail adress now. It is:-

pheon.models at hotmail.co.uk

I recieved my pup decals yesterday and very nice they are too. The
package as a whole includes four full colour placement sheets and a very
nice 12 page booklet which includes complete histories of each option
and hints and tips not only on using your decals but also on improving
the Pups.

I also received a newsletter which anounces Sopwith Triplane sheets in
June - see below:-

 Hello!

Your Pup decal order has been dispatched!

The reaction so far has been generally very positive and in some ways
surprising; we had expected the 72nd sheets to outsell the 48th by about
2:1 but the reverse is the case!

Quite why this should be is a puzzle, but on the strength of it a
reprint of the 48th scale sheet is in hand for delivery at the end of
March.

Future Plans

Our next planned sheet was to have been for the 1st Pursuit Group's
Nieuport 28s in all three scales with at least 3 options for each of the
four principle squadrons and a single Sopwith Camel for the 185th AS.
Work on this has now stopped as we feel certain that the Superscale
offering announced by Squadron in recent days will corner the majority
of the market and our sheets will not now sell in the necessary
quantities to support the investment.

I am particularly sorry about this as we felt the anticipated sales
would have been high and supported a rapid expansion of the line into
less "popular" territory. As it is we shall bash on, but much more
slowly than we could have done. It's a shame that a company which has
neglected WWI modellers for so long has chosen to cherry pick the
market, but that's commercial reality for you!

As a result of this we will not be announcing future productions in
advance, where we expect to have relatively high sales volumes. For the
more obscure stuff, where competition from the likes of Superscale will
not be an expectation, we will provide some advance notification.

Accordingly, I can tell you, as our first customers and ones who have a
particular interest in British subjects, that we will shortly be
producing decal sets for the Sopwith Triplane in 48th and 72nd scales.
It is our aim to offer options for all the RNAS squadrons which flew the
'Tripehound' with particular attention being paid to Naval 10's black
flight. If you have any particular favourites which you'd like to see
covered, let me know soon and I'll see what can be done!

Production volumes and therefore prices will be close to those for the
Pup, so if you want to be sure of a copy we can accept reservations now
on the strict understanding that we will not be requesting payment until
they are available and you may of course cancel your reservation at any
time before payment is made. A general announcement of this future sheet
will not be made for a few weeks yet. Anticipated availability should be
during June.

Thank you all for your financial support and the many enthusiastic
sentiments that we have received, both are very welcome!

All the best,

Rowan

Good luck with your order

Regards

Dave
