I'd love that to happen too. However, as I understand it, the whole business was a labour of love for Dr Merrill, and I'd imagine that he'd rather not see the line continued unless he could feel comfortable that the AG commitment to historical excellence would be maintained without compromises.

(I really like the way that AG would give you a wide set of markings, and clearly state where there was no solid evidence, just enlightened surmise, or where there was strong evidence, and which markings fell between stools)
