Tom, thanks (and the rest of you too). I used a mix of the smallest 1/48th
Eduard and Part turnbuckles, mostly cut in half and inserted in holes. I'd
have used their 1/72nd ones but couldn't get the EZline through the
eyeholes. I was mostly experimenting with not having to drill all the way
through through, to reduce the patch-painting needed (being rather
paint-challenged). I seem to have done this a lot of late, but you need to
be neater than I am to get it to look okay - there's some flexibility in the
PE, so you have the chance after the wires are in place to align them
properly, but if the wires are attached a bit off centre it's much more
obvious in real life than in the photos. Plus because they're from the
1/48th set they really do look too flat when you get up close. I think I'll
go back to through - the wings stuff, and just suggest turnbuckles with
paint.
