Thank you all for the help!

That page about future was great--and of course it makes sense what many of
you are saying...e.g.: 'use the right glue for the job' since an aircraft
has more variety of applications in that respect than a boxcar.

I've worked with brass a little--just used a toothpick to apply CA but I am
going to try the clipped-off needle eye.  Also, is Elmer's really strong
enough to hold the rigging?

I'm leaning toward an escadrille lafayette a/c.

As I said, it'll likely take me all summer just to get started, but once I
do I'll keep a log and take pics along the way (its one of the things I like
about modeling and I appreciate that many of you who have pictures in the
gallery have included work in progress).  That way you'll see if your help
is paying off...

And I'm sure I'll have many more questions as I go.
