[WWI] A new kit for the 72-ers

I thought they sucked, thick clumsy wings, horrid details, only thing going for it were the nice decals.
Belgian IIRC. I swapped it (at a shop who could probably sell it quite easily, so I have a clear conscience)
for a Top gun resin Spad 52, which is a very nice kit indeed.
Did MAC do a Knoller too? Sounds like a better idea.

Neil,
Interesting! I bought two of the Planet Spads for just that purpose. One as an 11 and one for use as a 16. It's been a while since I researched what it would take, but at the time, it seemed more work to try to convert the kit, especially the wings. Sounds like you came to the same conclusion. Fifty dollars for the Knoller seems quite expensive to me. I also noticed the MAC kits are going for almost $30.00, on sale! I remember buying these from Squadron on special for half that many moons ago. Even then, I thought for the quality of the kit, that amount was too high.

I once bought Planets Spad 11, with an idea of using parts for the Spad 16 I was building at the time,
in the end I just swapped it away unused, I certainly won't pay $50 for another planet kit. IMHO

Ernie,
I saw it today when I got home and read my SMO! It definitely peaked my interest, but I don't feel like shelling out 50+ dollars at the moment! :^(

The new Squadron supplement is showing a 1/72 Knoller C.II Series 19 in resin from Planet Models. $50.40.
I'm announcing it as 'new' because SMO is. Apologies if this is old news.
