Interesting! I bought two of the Planet Spads for just that purpose.
One as an 11 and one for use as a 16. It's been a while since I
researched what it would take, but at the time, it seemed more work to
try to convert the kit, especially the wings. Sounds like you came to
the same conclusion. Fifty dollars for the Knoller seems quite
expensive to me. I also noticed the MAC kits are going for almost
$30.00, on sale! I remember buying these from Squadron on special for
half that many moons ago. Even then, I thought for the quality of the
kit, that amount was too high.
