No doubt they will not all look the same. The only way I can think to 
get them "right" is to scribe the horizontal laminations onto an 
accurately shaped prop using some sort of height reference, 
preferably on a surface plate. Granted this is taking it to a pretty 
extreme level, and depends on having an accurate prop to start with.

Rest assured that all of the above, and my preceding post come from 
someone who has never once attempted to paint a laminated prop. 
Looking again at the photo, I am happy to admit I may be thrown off 
by the camera angle.
