I agree with Knut - I'm not a big fan of the vomit yellow colour either. I also preferred the old style of loading pics in a new frame, though it did annoy me that it was never consistent. Sometimes they'd load in a new frame, sometimes in the same one; I'd keep accidently closing my browser down completely because I wasn't paying attention and forgot I was still in the same frame!
Firefox doesn't seem to care much for the new style pics as it becomes very 'clunky' and takes forever for the page to scroll again when the pics are closed down. To be fair though, Firefox always seems to struggle with php sites, not nearly as smooth as with good ol' html.
