[WWI] A-H Albatros 53.01

The links below are to to video clips of my A-H Albatros 53.01. I modeled the same machine in 1/48th for the Albatros Cookup some years ago. The main reference is a photo in the Profile Publications booklet on Albatros Fighters.

The first clip is of a taxi test in the neighbor's driveway when "Mustang Sally" rolls up...and almost over.

The second clip is in-flight. The videographer had some trouble keeping the model in the frame and the landing is the worst I've made this side of an outright crash in a long time. Check the ending frame, the two wheels sticking up like the feet on a dead duck ;-) The only damage being to my ego and the little stickie uppie thingie on the top of the wing radiator. That went back on with a drop of CA.. (The ego took a couple of beers when I got home.) The spinner had parted company with the prop on an earlier flight.
