[WWI] The WWI List Contest

It was a book on building aircraft from wood. And I am sure that it was written my Harry. It has been years since I last read it, so maybe I am confused as to the author; but I am sure I am correct

He wrote about  aircraft in plastic card, and not wood...
In any case, Harry Woodman advised to make cylinders from sprue, wound them
up in fine copper wire AND cook them slightly, to achieve finely raised
lines when the plastic melted in the interstices between the wire loops.
Easier to say than to do...
