[WWI] ....of New decals

Hi all

 

Following on from the previous e-mail Steve and myself talked to a chap
some of you may know called Rowan Broadbent. He has started a new decal
company dedicated to WW1 modelers called 'Pheon Models'

 

The first release is iminent and is going to be Sopwith Pups of the RNAS
and RFC in 1/72 and 1/48 scale.

 

The second release will be the Spad VII of Escadrille Lafayette, 103rd
Aero and SPA 124 in 1/48 and 1/32 scale.

 

The decals are being printed by Fantasy printshop which is a well
respected UK printer and will be extremely short run (only 50 sheets of
each).

 

The test runs I say of both these sheets looked amazing and were
extremely well researched. I was particularly impressed by the Lafayette
Indian heads which had had 10 colour runs.

 

I have attached a scan of the sheet Rowan left with me explaining about
the company (sorry for the attachment). He plans to release about one
sheet a month and I think there will be some interesting subjects.
