Tom,

The MEIKRAFT list that I had provided to Karen's post was from the book PAK-20 by John W. Burns. I knew at least the GOTHA G.IV and the ALBATROS D.III/OEFAGG 153/253 were never issued. By the way "Good Luck" on your book. Will it be something like Brad Hansen's "WWI IN PLASTIC"? I would be very interested in this.

Oops! Sorry about that.

Here is the complete list of what Meikraft actually produced:

Albatros C.III
             D.I/D.II/Oeffag D.II
Beech D.17 Staggerwing
Caproni Ca.3
Dornier D.I
Douglas D.558-1 Skystreak
Fokker B.III/MAG Series 04.3
           D.I
Grumman FF-1
Hansa-Brandenburg W.29
Lloyd 40.15 Triplane
Long Midget Mustang
North American A-36/P-51A Test shots, decals only. Small handful.
Pfalz D.III/D.IIIa
Piper L-4 Grasshopper
Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2c
Seversky P-35/P-35A
Siemens-Schuckert D.I
Spad XIII
Vought F6U Pirate
           SB2U Vindicator

Also a Vought SB2U Vindicator in 1/48 scale.

All of the other kits that have been mentioned never made it past the master model stage and some never got that far. I don't know where some of the listings from the internet came from, but those listing sure do show one should be very careful about anything from that source.

BTW, work continues on my second book, WWI/72, The world of Great War Models in 1/72 Scale. As of today there are over 1,500 aircraft listings and over 2,000 listings of other subjects. I still need help with identifying things such as artillery, vehicles, boats and the like if anyone here would care to help.

Happy modeling,

Tom Young
