I can't comment on other postal services, but one of the few good things
about Royal Mail is that they have a very good website that details how much
it will cost to send packages of a given weight (in increments of 20g) to
pretty much any civilised country in the world, and a few uncivilised ones
too. ;-) This makes it very easy to calculate overseas shipping if you have
a set of scales and a ruler.
