While we're on the subject of shipping, rip-offs and so on, I just ordered the Mirage Halberstatd from Jadar .  They have it for $41.53 + $14 - $17 shipping.  Squadron wants $67.45 + $9.95 shipping and Rollmodels (whom I deeply admire and respect and buy stuff from regularly) is asking $60 + $9 shipping (I like that he uses nice round numbers).  So, you see....I forgot what my point was.  Anyway, shipping is an issue and you're gonna pay for it one way or another.

The shipping of merchandise outside the USA starts to climb when everything
is factored- things like currencies and exchange rates. Those charges can
get pretty whopping as as percentage. Toss in the a**h* le factor of people
who think you're trying to rip them off when you state the true cost of a
transaction- that adds to the merriment. They want it NOW and faint when
they learn the actual cost of any kind of shipping quicker than row boat
speed- and we get accused of an attempted ripoff. Toss in the packages to
the "outside world"in the last couple of years that got trashed by psychotic
customs goons (that we're expected to make good on) and it get less and less
attractive to do business out of this country.
There's a alot more to it than simply filling in an address form.
On the other hand, we do have a few customers scattered around the world who
know what's what and they're a pleasure to do business with.
