Paul Says,

Nick,

All I've done is build them as neat as I can, OOB, except replacing the armament and in one case the airscrew. No corrections at all - the Roland doesn't need much, but the RE8, while looking the part, needs a complete rebuild. There are also no interiors added, just crew figures.

To see these old Airfix kits really done well, look at Alberto Casirati's work, as well as several other suspects in the list gallery. http://www.wwi-models.org/Images/Casirati/index.html . His work is incomparable, and I couldn't match it, but in my defence that wasn't the object of the exercise - I just wanted to capture the feeling of 35 plus years ago when I last did this............... Alberto's also worked wonders on the old Revell kits, and some more modern ones.

Paul,
Modesty will get you nowhere! When I think back to 1970 when I was building these kits I remember sewing thread for rigging attached with ample amounts of Testors tube glue and very poorly hand painted colors! Your work is far and away better than what mine was 35 years ago, and maybe what it is now. :-)
